Keep your math skills sharp over the summer! This "pen pal-like" program provides students the opportunity to practice previously learned math concepts and to build confidence. Students will take a pre-test to determine math skills and individualize their program. Students will then receive nine weeks of lessons. After they have completed a week's worth of work, they will mail it in, and we'll make corrections, provide comments, and mail it back! Students work at their pace in this program. Kids love receiving their returned assignments each week in the mail! When all lessons are completed, students will receive a certificate of achievement and a restaurant meal coupon. Aspiring artists will learn basic painting techniques as they transform detailed Dungeons & Dragons-themed miniatures into one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Each participant will leave with a fully painted monster miniature to take home and use in their next tabletop adventure!

Create a beautiful garden “painting” out of wool roving. Learn to needle felt an image on a piece of felt using roving as your "paint." The image will be created in a small embroidery hoop that can be hung on a wall for decoration.

Parent and Newborn - This free class is taught by a parent educator and a Scott County Public Health Nurse. This class is designed to help answer questions as well as support new parents/guardians.

In this camp, your child will learn essential STEM and programming concepts, while being challenged to build up to eight innovative motorized models, including a parking gate, moon rover, landmine sweeper, drumming machine and more. Spend quality time painting with your child in this fun, hands-on class. No experience is needed. Each participant will create their own 11x14” canvas painting, which can stand alone or be paired side by side for a combined work of art. Step-by-step instruction is provided. Ages five and up with an adult.

This non-separating class will give you opportunities to explore and play with developmentally appropriate toys, and art materials. Circle time with songs, movement and books will provide you and your child with ways to enjoy music together at school and at home. A parent educator will provide time for questions and discussion around this stage of your child’s development and other parenting topics.
