Special Education Placement 2026-2027 (Permission Needed to Register)Stepping Stones PreschoolWe are incredibly proud to offer high-quality programming at Pearson Early Learning Center. Our school is a Four-Star Parent Aware preschool, which indicates that we provide early education programs using research-based practices to best prepare children for kindergarten. Our instructional programming includes innovative approaches that infuse STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) concepts in our STEAM Lab and we are proud to be a Pyramid Model School. The Pyramid Model supports the social and emotional growth of your child through dedicated social-emotional curriculum, practices, and interventions. Upon registration for Saber Connection care, start date will begin 3 business days after registration to ensure that all forms are completed before care begins. There is a $55 registration fee per section. Midday care includes school lunch or can provide their own. Preschool & Saber Connection Payments are due on the 15th of the month prior to attendance (e.g. September tuition is due August 15). A credit card is required for recurring monthly payments. If any payment does not go thru for any reason there will be a $20 fee per failed transaction. In addition, a $10 fee will be charged for any changes made to your registration after submission. Cancellations/No Refunds:If you need to withdraw, please contact Pearson at 952.496.5862 as soon as possible, in order for us to accommodate other families on waiting lists. Summer Camps & ProgramsAbout Summer Camps Choose your experience with Shakopee Community Education this summer! Each week, we will offer a variety of exciting morning and afternoon enrichment camps, all conveniently located at Sweeney Elementary (with a few exceptions). Register for the Lunch Link option (supervised lunch break) to create a full day of fun. Lunch Link For families looking for full-day options, the Lunch Link program is a perfect way to connect morning and afternoon camps. Lunch Link provides a supervised lunch hour and recess. Students are required to bring their own lunch. A separate registration is required at a cost of $20 per week. Lunch Link is only offered M-Th for camps held at Sweeney Elementary. Please note, students may register for a morning camp along with Lunch Link for a 9am-1pm experience, or they may register for Lunch Link and an afternoon camp for a Noon-4pm experience. Financial Assistance Fees for camps may be reduced for youth residing in District 720 boundaries. For families experiencing financial hardship, each immediate family member may receive up to a 50% fee reduction on one Community Education class per catalog, unless otherwise noted. Join us at Mousse Sparkling Wine Co. for a hands-on experience where you’ll taste, blend and personalize your own bottle of traditional method sparkling wine. Led by owner and winemaker Josie Boyle, this interactive session takes you behind the scenes to learn about the Champagne process, taste examples of different blends and craft your perfect bottle. Dry or sweet? White or rosé? You make the call! What’s Included: Winery Tour – Go behind the scenes of our sparkling winemaking process. Tie-Dye CreationsWeek 8This class is a fun way to learn color properties and how colors combine to make new colors. Each participant will get a white T-shirt to start and will learn several folding techniques before they decide on a folding pattern. They will fold the shirts themselves and then get to pick several different colors to dye their project. As they are waiting for the dye to set, they will make a few watercolor butterflies and/or flowers. Lastly, they will learn the art of resist drawing and watercolor painting with one more creation. Video Production for YouTube CampWeek 6Learn how to create your own YouTube content in this hands-on camp! Students will practice shooting video, capturing sound and developing an online presence. In the first half of camp, they’ll discover techniques filmmakers use for better shots, lighting and audio, and practice editing with film software through a class project. In the second half, students will work together on an unboxing or product review video. They’ll edit their project, add transitions, special effects and a soundtrack, then share their finished video. Students should have basic reading skills. Bring a USB drive (at least 8 GB) on the last day. Meets four times.Summer 2026
