Safe at Home on My OwnLate Summer OfferingsThis class is designed to help prepare youth to safely take care of themselves when they are home alone. We will answer questions about setting up routines to be by themselves when their parents are not home, as well as discuss common household emergencies, using the telephone, basic first aid and more. This class is intended as a tool to help families prepare youth for staying home alone. It will not fully prepare all youth for the responsibilities involved with being at home alone. Safety & Self Defense Camp (Gr K-5)Week 7Safety is about the situation, self-awareness and self-defense. Learn the fundamentals, effective responses to practical situations, and experience hands-on exercises. This class includes discussion on boundaries, saying "no," de-escalation, and the importance of taking care of ourselves. Participants will learn the most critical elements to keep themselves safe and practice self-awareness. They will also punch, kick, block, yell and more.
