Pressure Preserving: Moving Beyond Canning

Learn the safe effective way to preserve foods using a pressure canner. This class covers essential techniques including equipment setup, proper jar preparation, processing times and safety guidelines to prevent spoilage and foodborne illness. Participants will also learn what should not be pressure canned. Bring your own pressure canner if you wish to show as there are many versions out there. Gain confidence canning vegetables meats and soups using tested methods for reliable long-term food storage.
