Are you ready to build the building blocks of life - one cookie at a time? Step into our "Cytology Kitchen" for a hands-on exploration of the microscopic world. In this class, we trade microscopes for spatulas as we engineer delicious, three-dimensional models of the most important structures on Earth: the cell.

We’ll dive deep into the differences between the creatures of the animal kingdom and the wonders of the plant world. By the end of the session, you won’t just know what a cell looks like; you’ll know exactly how it’s built and what makes it “tick.”

Charlene is a licensed educator with over 25 years of experience teaching science in a classroom setting. During her career, she's taught a diverse selection of topics - including biology, math, chemistry, entomology, bird ecology, life science, physics and more. In addition to her work in classrooms across Minnesota, she's also taught abroad in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Today, she organizes a range of community education courses to help students across over 30 school districts discover the basis principles of science, technology, physics, and of course, baking and cake pop decoration.
