Survive the Wild Camp: Outdoor EngineersWeek 3Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? In this cool camp, you and your team will be challenged to create clever gadgets to help you “survive” in the wild. From engineering a periscope to harnessing the power of the sun to cook marshmallows, to designing a device for drinkable water and building a shelter, you’ll take on hands-on challenges throughout the week. The Little Mermaid Theatre CampWeek 3Pearl has everything she could ever want in the depths of the ocean. As the youngest daughter of King Triton and Queen Scylla, she is expected to be content, but she dreams of life beyond the sea. Curious about the surface world, Pearl longs to walk on land and be among its people. When she rescues a young rock star from sleeping with the fishes, Pearl becomes determined to leave her underwater kingdom behind – no matter the cost. With the help of her sea creature friends and a little bit of magic, she embarks on an adventure filled with laughter, love, and the ultimate test of courage. All students participate on stage in this play. Auditions are on Monday, and will last two hours. Roles will be announced at the end of the audition and everyone will stay afterward for rehearsal. Rehearsal schedule for the week is generally 8:30am-12:45pm, but might vary based on role. An exact schedule will be distributed on Monday. Please be sure to send a snack and water bottle with your student every day! Public performances will be held on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 11am at Shakopee West Middle School (Carl A. Olson Auditorium). Tickets are $5/person. There will be a private performance for YMCA childcare on Friday at 1pm.Summer 2026 -
