FIRST LEGO League is a competitive robotics program that works to solve real-world problems by using creativity, teamwork and innovation. Attend our FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Information Night to learn more about the program, meet other potential FLL students and coaches, learn how the registration process works and get answers to all your questions. It's free, but registration is encouraged.

Lunch Link takes place from 12-1pm on Monday-Thursday at Sweeney Elementary, and it is the perfect solution for families looking for full-day options. By providing a supervised lunch and recreation hour, Lunch Link connects morning and afternoon camps. The Lunch Link registration fee is in addition to camp registration, and students are required to bring their own lunch.

Get ready for a summer of sugar, science and creativity! In STEM & SWEETS, youth explore the science behind their favorite treats while decorating cookies, crafting cake pops, creating butterfly truffles, panda brownies and ocean creature cupcakes. Campers uncover STEM secrets in the kitchen, spark creativity, build confidence and have fun making edible masterpieces with new skills and friends. Meets four times.

We think slime is sensational! Once you’ve mixed up a batch of our fabulous fluffy slime then tried your hand at our special bubblegum scented silly putty slime, we’re sure you’ll think slime is sensational too! Sorry grown ups this class is for kids only! Please pack a nut free snack and drink for your child.

Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? In this cool camp, you and your team will be challenged to create clever gadgets to help you “survive” in the wild. From engineering a periscope to harnessing the power of the sun to cook marshmallows, to designing a device for drinkable water and building a shelter, you’ll take on hands-on challenges throughout the week. These exciting STEM projects take place in the classroom with some outdoor testing. Please apply sunscreen to your child before class. Meets four times.

Pearl has everything she could ever want in the depths of the ocean. As the youngest daughter of King Triton and Queen Scylla, she is expected to be content, but she dreams of life beyond the sea. Curious about the surface world, Pearl longs to walk on land and be among its people. When she rescues a young rock star from sleeping with the fishes, Pearl becomes determined to leave her underwater kingdom behind – no matter the cost. With the help of her sea creature friends and a little bit of magic, she embarks on an adventure filled with laughter, love, and the ultimate test of courage. All students participate on stage in this play. Auditions are on Monday, and will last two hours. Roles will be announced at the end of the audition and everyone will stay afterward for rehearsal. Rehearsal schedule for the week is generally 8:30am-12:45pm, but might vary based on role. An exact schedule will be distributed on Monday. Please be sure to send a snack and water bottle with your student every day! Public performances will be held on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 11am at Shakopee West Middle School (Carl A. Olson Auditorium). Tickets are $5/person. There will be a private performance for YMCA childcare on Friday at 1pm.
