This in-depth camp will provide hands-on experience in the basic skills of food and kitchen tool safety, food handling, chopping, sautéing and creating healthy and easy meals. At the start of each class, a topic will be introduced, skills will be taught and practiced, and a complete healthy meal will be made, which participants will enjoy for lunch that day. Tie-Dye CreationsWeek 8This class is a fun way to learn color properties and how colors combine to make new colors. Each participant will get a white T-shirt to start and will learn several folding techniques before they decide on a folding pattern. They will fold the shirts themselves and then get to pick several different colors to dye their project. As they are waiting for the dye to set, they will make a few watercolor butterflies and/or flowers. Lastly, they will learn the art of resist drawing and watercolor painting with one more creation. Yes, And! Improv & Acting CampWeek 8Are you ready to step into the spotlight? Join us for an exciting summer camp where students will work on acting and improv skills! Campers will develop their stage presence, perform scenes from popular plays and musicals and work as a team to bring stories to life. Students will also dive into the world of improv (acting without a script). Through games and challenges, students will develop quick thinking, adaptability and the ability to create memorable characters on the spot. Focus is put on developing imagination, social skills and a positive self-image through the performing arts. Family and friends are invited to a special performance on the last day of camp.
