Investigate Curious Clues With Fur-ensics™: Campers sharpen their detective skills by building sleuthing gadgets, analyzing forensic evidence and solving mischievous mysteries alongside Cap E. Bara and robotic capybaras. Splash Into Entrepreneurship With Make Waves™: Children explore entrepreneurship through buoyancy experiments, product design and prototype building as they create innovative ideas and “make waves” in the market. Build a DIY Space Rocket With Space Morphers™: Campers design and launch a DIY rocket, explore a distant planet and invent solutions for extreme conditions while making exciting discoveries in their Space Lab. Lunch Link: Week 5Week 5Please note: Participants must be registered for at least a morning or afternoon camp with Shakopee Community Education to be eligible to register for the Lunch Link program. Sign up for the Lunch Link program, and create a full day of fun for your child! Lunch Link takes place from 12-1pm on Monday-Thursday, and it is the perfect solution for families looking for full-day options. By providing a supervised lunch and recreation hour, Lunch Link connects morning and afternoon camps. Magnificent Masters on Canvas CampWeek 5In this class, we will be inspired by art created by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Jackson Pollock and Pablo Picasso. We will recreate famous works of art like Van Gogh’s Vase with Twelve Sunflowers, Monet’s Bridge at Giverny, Pollock’s splatter painting and many others, all on real canvas boards. The Big Build Camp: Robotics & EngineeringWeek 5In this dynamic session, your child will explore key robotics and STEM concepts while building and programming up to eight unique, motorized robotic and engineering models. As they create projects such as a power plant, military tank, construction crane, windmill, dump truck and farming plow, they will develop critical logical-thinking skills and gain insight into essential engineering principles including kinetic and potential energy, chain transmissions, angular momentum, Newton’s laws and centrifugal force.
