Camp Invention’s new program, Spark, is an inspiring, week-long summer experience that provides opportunities for open-ended, hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more! Campers take on a variety of exhilarating activities each day, have fun collaborating with friends, think creatively and invent their own solutions to real-world challenges. The all-new 2026 program will spark the imagination of both new and returning campers with an adventure full of inspiration, innovation and unforgettable discoveries! During this action-packed, confidence-boosting program, young innovators will: Activate Innovative Superpowers With The Infringers™: Campers team up with real-world inventors to create, protect and time-travel to safeguard their ideas from the Infringers.. Investigate Curious Clues With Fur-ensics™: Campers sharpen their detective skills by building sleuthing gadgets, analyzing forensic evidence and solving mischievous mysteries alongside Cap E. Bara and robotic capybaras. Splash Into Entrepreneurship With Make Waves™: Children explore entrepreneurship through buoyancy experiments, product design and prototype building as they create innovative ideas and “make waves” in the market. Build a DIY Space Rocket With Space Morphers™: Campers design and launch a DIY rocket, explore a distant planet and invent solutions for extreme conditions while making exciting discoveries in their Space Lab. Blast off into a space-filled adventure! In this hands-on science class, kids will create marshmallow constellations, craft galaxies in a jar and build their own solar system. Student chefs will be engaged in cooking homemade specialty foods from around the globe. Learn to create your favorite Asian, Italian, Mexican dishes and more, while learning fundamental cooking techniques that will last a lifetime. Meets four times.

Please note: Participants must be registered for at least a morning or afternoon camp with Shakopee Community Education to be eligible to register for the Lunch Link program. Sign up for the Lunch Link program, and create a full day of fun for your child! Lunch Link takes place from 12-1pm on Monday-Thursday, and it is the perfect solution for families looking for full-day options. By providing a supervised lunch and recreation hour, Lunch Link connects morning and afternoon camps. The Lunch Link registration fee is in addition to camp registration, and students are required to bring their own lunch.

In this class, we will be inspired by art created by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Jackson Pollock and Pablo Picasso. We will recreate famous works of art like Van Gogh’s Vase with Twelve Sunflowers, Monet’s Bridge at Giverny, Pollock’s splatter painting and many others, all on real canvas boards. Create and take home a gorgeous 16x12" oil painting in this step-by-step class, taught by an instructor certified in the Bob Ross method. The relaxed approach will have you walking away with your own masterpiece to hang on your wall or give as a gift. All levels of painters, including beginners, are welcome. All supplies are provided except for an apron or smock, which you can bring if you wish.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet! We’ll explore the colors of the rainbow as we use sprinkles, Fruit Loops, marshmallows, frosting and more to create a colorful candy scene complete with a 3D rainbow. Sweet! Please pack a nut-free snack and drink for your child.
