Shakopee Community Education provides quality classroom and behind-the-wheel driver's education instruction for Shakopee Public Schools resident students. Students must be at least 14½ years old on or before the last classroom session. Behind-the-wheel lessons are scheduled after students successfully complete the 30-hour classroom course, pass the Minnesota permit knowledge test and complete 10 hours of supervised driving with a parent or guardian. The 2026–27 Driver's Education fee is $440 and includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. All 2026–27 school year classroom sessions and 2027 summer classroom sessions will be held at Shakopee High School in the 2nd Floor Lecture Room.
