Taking steps from classic ballroom dances, you’ll learn mini-routines that are easy to remember and danceable to all your favorite songs. Rock, jazz, blues, country, pop hits and more, these routines work for all genres. If there is a specific song you would like to hear, let your instructor know in class. Get dancing to improve your physical, emotional, and cognitive health. Add spark and romance to your relationship with a dance class date night! In Pastel Petals Cookie Decorating, kids will learn the basics of cookie design using soft pastel colors, floral themes and fun icing techniques. Peter Pan Theatre CampWeek 10Welcome to Neverland, where things are never, ever bland! When Peter Pan gets caught by the Darling family, he brings them all back to Neverland rather than risk being made to grow up. But when they all arrive in Wonderland, they realize that father George and mother Mary are no longer grown ups… they’ve been turned into children again! One visit to Doc Belle and the Tinkers later and they learn their diagnosis, NoFunitis, is irreversible unless they learn to have fun again! So Peter, Wendy, John, Michael, Nana and Tink take George and Mary on a trip around Neverland, introducing them to the best parts about being a kid again! But things can never be that easy for the leader of the Lost Kids, because Captain Hook is planning to end Peter Pan’s fun once and for all! While that wretched Pan is showing the Darlings around and introducing them to the other residents of Neverland, Captain Hook and his pirates are planning the ultimate trap for Peter, the Lost Kids, and even the Darlings. Of course, Captain Hook’s one fear needs to be dealt with first so that nothing can stop him. Tick, tock, tick, tock! Will Captain Hook be able to ensnare the Lost Kids before the Darling parents learn how to have fun again? Or will the Darling parents learn that having fun is good for a person? Join us on this fantastical trip to Neverland to find out!All students participate on stage in this play. Auditions are on Monday, and will last two hours. Roles will be announced at the end of the audition and everyone will stay afterward for rehearsal. Rehearsal schedule for the week is generally 8:30am-12:45pm, but might vary based on role. An exact schedule will be distributed on Monday. Please be sure to send a snack and water bottle with your student every day! Public performances will be held on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 11am at Shakopee West Middle School. Stage. Tickets are $5/person.
