In this class, we’re turning the kitchen into a geometry lab to discover the “delicious” side of pi. From calculating the perfect crust-to-sauce ratio to understanding the symmetry of a pepperoni slice, we’ll explore how numbers and shapes come together to create the world’s favorite food.

Ever wondered how a ray of sunshine turns into a crunchy snack? Welcome to the "Green Lab," where biology meets the cutting board! In this class, we trace the incredible journey of energy from the sun all the way to our dinner plates. Students will become part botanist and part chef as they explore the “magic” of how plants grow and why they taste so good. We will dig into the science of botany to understand the anatomy of the food we eat. From roots hidden underground to leaves reaching for the sky, every part of a plant has a job to do and a flavor to share!

Step into a futuristic adventure where young squires complete real-world quests inspired by the values of courage, hope, resilience and optimism. Through role play, teamwork and weekly challenges, participants build confidence and character while earning symbols of achievement to add to their knightly shields. Meets eight times.

Checkmate! All experience levels are welcome and players are divided into the following groupings by age: 5-8, 9-12, 13-17 and 18 +. Each participant plays five rounds. Registration cost includes pizza and a drink for each participant, as well as trophies, medals, and other awards. This tournament is refereed and run by Twin Cities Chess Club, in partnership with Prior Lake-Savage Community Education. Please note this tournament is held at Twin Oaks Middle School in Prior Lake.
